Avoided all Camping Trips

Sometimes Girl Guides go camping and on overnight sleepovers. Parents are occasionally required as volunteers or participants. Congratulations if you have managed to be 'out of town' or washing your hair when these events take place. This badge is in recognition of your prepared alibis to help you avoid sleeping on a gym floor, bunk bed or the one pointy rock under the tent. It might be more appropriate for this badge to feature a bed and glass of wine because we know that is what you did when you sent your kids away to camp for the night or weekend!

Took My Kid to the Wrong Location Just Once

Sometimes the guides and brownies change meeting locations so they can do some fantastic activity or another. Usually the leaders send out the change in location by email. We don't all read our emails so it is practically a miracle every time the kids get to the right location.

Lingered at Drop-Off Too Long, Now I’m a Leader

Girl guide groups are often looking for fresh meat...err... I mean new leaders that will help to guide and teach future leaders. If you make eye contact with or speak to current leaders there is a good chance that will be taken as an expression of interest, especially if you linger too long in the vicinity.
Only ate six boxes of guide cookies badge

Only Ate 1/2 Dozen Boxes of Cookies

Mmmmm... Cookies... Twice a year piles of cookies are stacked in our front hall for us to eat (some people call it selling). We don't let anyone leave our house without buying some cookies. Some boxes get sacrificed to the greater good. Especially the original chocolate and vanilla ones. If you unload more boxes on other people than you eat yourself you deserve this badge!
Put no badges on the sash badge

Avoided Attaching Badges All Year

Attaching badges on sashes is hard work. You need to find and plug in your iron, wait for it to warm up, find a flat surface, look up where the badge is supposed to go on the sash, put it there and apply heat from the iron without setting the whole thing on fire. It is easier to pour a glass of wine and binge watch Netflix. Who has time for these things really?

You work hard every year your daughter is in #Guides & you deserve some recognition too. #3 is your own fault.Click To Tweet
